Mug Club 2024 Details:

• For 2024, there will be no new memberships added to the current total number of memberships.  A membership will become available for others to purchase if that membership was not renewed for the upcoming year.

• It is expected there will be a few expired memberships available to purchase as a new membership for 2023.  Exact number TBD.

• Sales for available memberships will be done via lottery this year as we expect demand to exceed available memberships.

  • Lottery sales will start on Friday, November 25 and end COB on Saturday December 3rd.

  • Each lottery entry will cost $10.  All money collected for Mug Club lottery sales will be donated to Gloucester/Mathews Humane Society.

  • Only one lottery entry per person/name permitted.  This keeps chances equal across the entire pool of entries.

  • Lottery drawing will take place at 2:00 on Sunday December 4th.  All folks whose name is drawn will be notified by the end of the day.  You do not need to be present to win.

  • Winners not present will be notified by email and phone call, and will have 7 days from the drawing to claim their membership via payment in full.  Runners up will be notified after 7 days and offered that spot.

  • The name on the entry is the name that the mug and number will be assigned to for 2023 – there will be no substitutions!

  • Odds of winning will depend on number of entries received.

• Cost of new membership is $150, which includes new mug.

• Membership runs thru December 2023.

• A “medallion” will be issued after the first of the year to all 2023 GBCMC members to attach to their mug, which will indicate they are a member of the 2023 club. Must show medallion to receive benefits.

• PERKS:

  • New members receive a 20oz+ individually numbered piece of art (the mug) made by a local artist.

  • Membership allows mug fills for the price of a pint every day.

  • One free mug fill with purchase of new 2022 membership.

  • One free birthday mug fill (ID required)

  • $1 off mug fills on Mondays.

  • Advanced notice of and early access to new beer releases.

  • Annual member party.

• Transferring Membership

  • A membership may be transferred from the original member to another person for a $25 transfer fee paid by the person receiving the transferred membership and only if the membership is current.

• Refunds

  • No refunds will be given for memberships/renewals.
