GBC and St. George Brewing Company Collaborate

We feel very fortunate we had the opportunity to collaboarte on a new recipe with St. George Brewing Company. We, being one of the youngest breweries in the Middle Peninsula area, were thrilled to learn from one of the oldest microbreweries in the Hampton Roads area -- St. George Brewing has been around since 1998.

We are so pleased to introduce this collaboration brew - Flamingo Tide (Hibiscus Ale): Our collaboration recipe has produced a light bodied, low ABV, very sessionable brew. Using hibiscus flowers that were steeped during the whirlpool yielded a beer with a bold pink color, floral aroma, and subtle tartness. The hibiscus along with Pilsner and Vienna malts combined with German and French hops make a beer that is like drinking a sunset. ABV 5.6% IBU 17
